Denmark has the best conditions in the world regarding start-up of “Green Businesses” The report, “Coming Clean: The Global Cleantech Innovation Index 2012” presented by WWF and Cleantech – A global consultancy group - ranks Denmark as number one among 38 countries. The various countries have been judged on 15 indicators related to commercial start-up and cleantech. The report proves Denmark right in their focus on combining green technology and sustainable commercial business.
The Minister for Trade and Investment, Pia Olsen Dyhr says: "Denmark's achievement is partly explained by our ability to support the start-up of cleantech companies until their ideas and technologies become profitable to the benefit of both the economy and the environment."
The report could also have an impact on the future. Pia Olsen Dyhr says that she can use this report in order to persuade more foreign investors to Denmark and the cleantech industry. The report emphasise on Danish businesses that prove that green business can be profitable.
