The Ambassador gave the day before yesterday, Tuesday May 22nd, his official support to Copenhagen’s bid for the WTC in 2015. As a former resident of Copenhagen, the Ambassador gave his warmest recommendations for the city. He emphasised the infrastructure of the city, the ease for everyone to walk to a natural area and the flourish of the cultural scene as one of many aspects, which makes Copenhagen one of the most liveable cities in Europe. The Ambassador’s speech was followed by a music performance, which created a good atmosphere. Unfortunately the effect was insufficient – The decision on who would host the WTC in 2015 was made the day after, and Croatia was awarded the honour. According to many in the crowd, including the competitors, Denmark was a much worthy runner-up. The Ambassador’s endorsement and music performance were an informal addition to a very professional and convincing, technical proposal made by DFTU (Danish Society for Tunnels and Underground Works)
