The Global Green Growth Forum, 3GF, (a global partnership consisting of the Governments of Denmark, Korea and Mexico, a number of leading global corporations and international organizations) is hosting two major events during the Rio+20 climate in Rio de Janeiro, June 2012.
“Sustainable, Inclusive Growth: The Way Forward from Rio+20 and G20″ is a high-level session with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, President Lee, President Calderón, Prime-Minister Thorning-Schmidt and other leading decision-makers and thought-leaders. The event is co-hosted by 3GF and the Global Green Growth Institute. The event takes places on 21 June 9:00-10:30 at RioCentro, T-1 Rio de Janeiro. No registration required; attendance is on a first come first serve basis.
“Accelerating Green Growth through Public-Private Partnerships” is a workshop co-hosted with UN Global Compact. The workshop is opened by Bob Orr presenting the UN Partnership Facility, and Minister Lidegaard introducing 3GF’s ground breaking tool for strategic development of PPPs. This workshop convenes active global Public-Private Partnerships(PPPs), to explore the role that PPP’s can play in reducing information, policy or behavioral barriers to the scaling of green growth, and to produce guiding principles for successful PPPs. The event takes place on 18 June 9:00-10:30 at the Windsor Barra Hotel, Rio de Janeiro. Attendance requires prior registration with UN Global Compact.
