Payment for services

The Foreign Service can assist with a wide range of services. Generally, a fee is charged for the assistance provided, whether the request is made to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen, an embassy or a consulate abroad.

For some services the fee is based on hours spent and for others the fee is fixed. The rules for payment are established in the Executive Order on Payment for Services Provided by the Danish Foreign Service.

The Embassy´s fees can be paid:

  • In cash in Thai Baht
  • By postal order (issued to Royal Danish Embassy)
  • The Embassy issues an invoice either in Danish kroner (for payment into the Foreign Ministry´s bank account in Danske Bank, cf. below), or in Thai Baht (for payment into the Embassy´s bank account in Standard Chartered Bank, cf. below).

Please note:

Since it is a central account it is ESSENTIAL that the transfer is made with the following information:

  • Name of the Embassy (abbreviated): BKK
  • Surname and first name of the person to receive the funds

Example: BKK, Olsen, 121178

In case of long names that exceed the limited space for definition of the receiver, write BKK and abbreviate surname/firstname, f.ex. BKK, Andersen, Wal (Waldemar Andersen)

Please note that the Embassy accepts payment in cash only. No cards are accepted.
